I've just started reading the document whose link is 'Mind & Consciousness'.

Hence, we shall postpone further attempts to define mind and as yet allow the largest possible meaning of the word, perhaps in the sense of the German word "Geist", which means both mind and spirit.--

This is not such a good translation at all. An arguably better translation for the German word 'Geist' was 'ghost', I think. For those who were reading yet. If that means both mind and spirit altogether was new to me too. Well, rather not!

I don't mind that translation but feel none German speaking reader's were sent the wrong way.

 Why ever?
